With David Johnson seemingly on the road to recovery Town's only worry for the Fulham game is Mark Venus. The former Wolves centre-half injured his ankle during training last week but has had an injection to speed his recovery. Venus hasn't played a first team game since the ultra-dour 0-0 draw with Tranmere, having been kept out of the side by Wayne Brown. But with Brown still fairly inexperienced Venus could still play a big part in the season.

George Burley is again being linked with Luton's Matthew Spring. The Town manager is reported to have watched Luton's FA Cup replay with Fulham on Tuesday night. Spring has also been linked with Premiership Wimbledon with a price of £3 million quoted as Luton's valuation of the 20-year old. If this is true then Town will certainly not pursue their interest, however £3 million seems extremely steep for a player of such limited experience.
