Former Brentford and Doncaster Rovers winger joins Orange County Soccer Club

Harry Forrester has signed for American second tier side Orange County Soccer Club, as confirmed by their official club website.

The 28-year-old, formerly of Brentford, Doncaster Rovers and AFC Wimbledon, has joined the USL Championship side ahead of their 2019 season.

Forrester will link up with former Brentford and Stevenage midfielder Charlie Adams at Orange County. Ex-Championship midfielder Richard Chaplow is their assistant manager.

Forrester started his career with spells as a youngster at Northampton Town, Watford and Aston Villa. He was signed by Brentford in 2011 and scored a combined 11 goals for them in two seasons in League One which earned him a move to Doncaster Rovers in the Championship.

He scored 11 goals in 66 games altogether for the Yorkshire side. Forrester then moved up to the Scotland in 2015 to join Rangers and helped the Glasgow side gain promotion from the Scottish Championship in his first season.

The winger played a handful of games for Rangers in the top flight before moving back to England last season on a season-long loan to AFC Wimbledon.

Forrester then made a surprise switch to Iranian side Tractor Sazi on a two-year deal in July, but struggled to make an impact there so joined their rivals Machine Sazi on loan in August after just two appearances.

He is now looking to make a name for himself in America and will be hoping to get Orange County competing at the top end of the USL Championship this year.
